1. Early starts
This is a controversial one as we’ve just started a new programme at which means we have to be in at 7am. I’m particularly grumpy in the morning and my flat-mate, Scott Steele, knows not to talk to me on the drive in to the club. Give me a lie-in over an early start any day of the week! The only upside of starting so early is that we have the afternoons off which, when the weather has been like it’s been, is no bad thing.
TRP verdict: The alarm bells are ringing but there’s no way this tired old choice is going in.
2. Overly loud laughing
It really grinds my gears when you’re out with friends and the group next to you feels it necessary to laugh so loud the whole world can hear them. It’s not very courteous. Surely they can’t be having that much fun? I just think they do it to seek attention.
TRP verdict: Lol and behold, this did make us chuckle, in the quietest way possible, of course.
3. Social media braggers
I grew up in the IT generation so I know the importance of platforms like Facebook. But a pet peeve of mine is when people take to social media to brag about what exam results they have achieved or the fact they’ve just finished their second year at university. Big deal! I don’t see the need to tell people the world over your own private business. To be honest I was close to deleting FB the other day but I stopped myself as it’s the best way of remembering family birthdays!
TRP verdict: All your birthdays have come at once, that’s two out of three.
