1. Soppy social media statuses
This is one that I’m sure everyone can relate to with the way social media is these days. I understand that there is now a platform to share whatever you want really, from a picture/video or to wish someone a happy birthday. However, some of the soppy statuses that people put up are cringeworthy to read. A few team-mates have fallen victim to this and have been dealt with appropriately. Our winger Rhodri Mayer was held to account in a court session on Saturday night and fined quite badly.
TRP verdict: We ‘like’ this but what do you expect from a back?
2. People who go into a new relationship and disappear
Everyone will have that close mate or sibling who has gone ‘Missing in Action’ on the back of getting in a new relationship. I’m all for people being happy in their love life, however you shouldn’t ever leave friends behind because you never know when you might need them if anything goes wrong. It’s even worse when it’s a team-mate and they go on about how much of a ‘lad’ they used to be! This happens more than you think!
TRP verdict: Sole mate to soulmate, it’s a tough one indeed. But no-one should be made to feel like a gooseberry fool.
3. People talking when you’re trying to watch TV
There is nothing worse than trying to watch an important game or programme and someone talks the whole way through it. This is especially annoying when they then ask you what’s going on! Just watch it. My missus can open up a whole conversation just as a movie is about to start and I end up pausing it. This can happen several times throughout the movie to the extent that you sometimes just give up – or the viewing time is doubled in length.
TRP verdict: No wonder you’re off your box
