1. Bad taste tattoos
I’ve got a three-quarter sleeve tattoo and a dodgy one on my ankle from a holiday in Ibiza, so I’m not against tattoos per se. But at least I can say I got mine done before they became a fashion statement.
Tattoos have become so commonplace nowadays it is kind of cool not to have one. I went to Centre Parcs not so long ago and at least half the people in the swimming pool had been inked. What’s the saying…? “You don’t need to have a mark on your body to leave a mark on the world.” The tattoos I have an issue with are the ones where people have the names of their nearest and dearest inscribed over the back of their neck but with a key word wrongly spelt, or have some philosophical saying adorning their body yet have no real idea what it means.
TRP verdict: Take Tats into , with our pleasure.
2. Lack of community spirit
There are not enough neighbourly people left in the world for my liking. When I was growing up people used to help each other out but nowadays they are either too busy getting on with their own lives or are simply not interested in helping others out.
The other day my sister helped an old man who’d been blown over in the wind while walking home with a bag of shopping. It meant she was late for an appointment but at the end of the day she knew what was more important. Sadly, the numerous people who drove past did not share her caring attitude.
TRP verdict: This choice is right up our street. You’re in
3. Winter
I know the traditional rugby enthusiasts won’t agree but I think it is vital that we move the season from February to October if we are to have any chance of catching up with the Southern Hemisphere.
Our basic skill levels are way behind the likes of and because the conditions we play and train in are very often not conducive to passing and catching. Instead, a lot of professionals seem to spend half their time in the gym getting bulkier but not better.
TRP verdict:  So you’ve been frozen out over this one
