Lewis Moody has backed Marcus Smith to take the reigns at fly-half for England ahead of their Six Nations campaign.
The debate has raged amongst England fans over who should wear the ten jersey for the upcoming tournament with Owen Farrell, George Ford and Smith all presenting strong options for newly appointed head coach, Steve Borthwick.
However, speaking on The Rugby Paper podcast Moody, who was part of the 2003 World Cup-winning squad, hopes Smith will start ahead of his more experienced counterparts.
