For captain Jim Hamilton, nothing but a win will do back at their beloved Shed before two big games in the .
He said: “It is great to be back at Kingsholm. We don’t like to lose at home so we’ll do everything we can to get the win.
“We have two very important game coming in the Premiership so we have to make sure we carry on our good recent form even though we know it’s not going to be an easy task against the French.”
Bordeaux-Begles were the success story of the last season in the comfortably avoiding beating , Racing Metro and Castres on the way.
They are struggling this year, and suffered a heavy 43-16 to the hand of London Irish, but the arrival of legend Joe Worsley as defensive coach as made them a tough team to compete with at the breakdown.
Hamilton added: “With Worsley and Raphael Ibanez coaching there, you can clearly see an English approach to their game. They are very good in the contact area.
“It’s always tough to know what to expect with traveling French team though but they have talented players and beat a few good teams already.
“They have big guys in the pack so their will be good but if we front up we’ll get the result we want.”
