Dream Team: Adam Balding – London Welsh No.8

Adam BaldingDrea1. Trevor Woodman – Just as effective with ball in hand as he was taking apart opposition scrums. He epitomised what was about.
2. Olivier Azam – Better known as ‘Z’ he always played with his heart on his sleeve. A real character on and off the pitch and always a crowd favourite.
3. Darren Garforth – He was the corner stone of the pack in the days of the ABC Club and was also a player that the younger players all looked up to.
4. Greg Rawlinson – Greg, AKA Dolph, was a real warrior. He was such a big presence in the team. His direct carrying made him a handful and you could always rely on him in the lineout.
5. Courtney Lawes – Courtney is a quiet young man with a massive work rate both in attack and defence. A true reflection of the next generation of player as he is equally at home in the second row or the back row.
6. Alex Sanderson – This guy based his game on physicality. He was certainly a player you wanted to play with not really against but his abrasive edge made him the player he was.
7. Lewis Moody – Lewis was a real wild one. A bit of a prankster about the place but when it was time to get serious he put his body where other people wouldn’t. That made him such a valuable asset.
8. Nick Easter – A consistent performer for both club and country. Nick is always a handful to play against and at 34, for me, he is still the in-form No.8 in .
9. Harry Ellis – He was a real headache for defences with his constant sniping and explosive pace. His all-round game was top drawer and he was never afraid to roll his sleeves up when the game got a bit lively.
10. Jonny Wilkinson – His all-round game is so well polished and to still see him playing at the top of his game after such a long career is great.
11. Alesana He is just such a powerful runner. It was no surprise that he became a crowd favourite at Welford Road with his infamous bulldozing runs.
12. Dale Rasmussen – A real club player at Worcester who was not only an outstanding performer but also someone who led by example. For that reason he would be my captain.
13. Leon Lloyd – A tough competitor who always had to physically dominate his opposite number. He was a  real line breaker with a shotgun hand-off and knew where the try-line was.
14. James Simpson-Daniel – What a gifted player. He can always create something out of nothing. A hard player to support in broken play as his mazy runs and turn of pace were frightening but he is a true out and out finisher.
15. Geordan Murphy – Geordie has done things with ball in hand which I did not even think possible! He is the most skilful player I’ve had the pleasure of playing with. Also famous for inventing the Chewing Gum Tackle!
