Dream Team: Danny Gray – Worcester and former Bristol and Exeter fly-half

Danny Gray1. Alex Corbisiero – Alex is a fantastic scrummager and will anchor the . He’s been outstanding in ‘s scrum recently.
2. Schalk Brits – How could you not pick him? It’s like having another back on the pitch, he can do everything. He’s so dynamic and does a brilliant job for .
3. Tevita Taumoepeau – One of my teammates at , Tevita is a top-class tighthead. The best scrummager I’ve played with, you can rely on him to keep the scrum solid.
4. Mouritz Botha – A great option in the lineout and puts in a lot of work around the pitch. And you when you face him,you realise what a strong ball carrier he is.
5. Richie Gray – Another blonde giant for my second row. Everyone knows how talented he is with ball in hand, and you can’t exactly miss him. There is a lot more to his game than just his carrying though.
6. Tom Croft – Like a lot of my team, Tom offers real dynamism as a carrying option. Fantastic in the lineout but it’s really his speed that stands out. Like Brits, it’s essentially like having another back.
7. Lewis Moody – There’s a reason they called him Mad Dog, he was one of those guys who would put his body on the line. You need someone like that and he proved his worth everywhere he played.
8. Sergio Parisse – Probably the most talented forward in the world, he can do things that most backs can’t. He stands out, despite not always playing in the best teams, and sometimes has to do it all himself.
9. Rob Howley – I remember playing against him when I was a lot younger. He was a fantastic all-round scrum-half. A really hard man and a top player.
10. Carlos Spencer – Mercurial talent who could just do things that no one else could. You could sense the danger every time he got the ball.
11. David Lemi – Another of my teammates at Worcester, David is another who can create something from nothing. He’s been great for us this season, and is still as dangerous as ever.
12. Felipe Contepomi – I want a team that will play good , and for that, Felipe is the ideal man. He has the most unbelievable vision and can get a team going in an instant.
13. Brian O’Driscoll – One of the all-time best centres, he’s got everything. He’s also basically two players, with his ability to fill in as an extra seven.
14. Alesana The few times I played against him, he just ran over people, he has so much pace and power. You just have to hope that he isn’t running down your channel.
15. Geordan Murphy – A real leader at , and another who can provide those moments of magic. Also very good under the high ball and a brilliant counter-attacker.
