1. Tom Smith – One helluva player and character. Quiet as a mouse off the pitch but once he got his kit on, he was absolutely brutal. It’s a tragedy what happened to him.
2. Keith Wood – Woodsy was “a buzz-bomb”. Whenever we played Ireland he’d be on the ball like a flash, tapping it and running straight at you. We knew if we could quieten him down, they might stop coming as hard. A real leader on and off the field who never gave in.
