  2. Dream Team

1. Matt Mullan – The most professional guy I’ve ever played with. Always first at training and last to leave – it’s like he lived at the training ground and worked!
2. Aleki Lutui – He’s strong, can carry well and is a real workhorse. Plus he’s an aggressive tackler – he smashes through people and leaves them in a heap.
3. Tevita Taumoepeau – ‘Big Dave’ was the best person to have in a , he just didn’t move backward at all. It’s like he’s nailed to the ground.
4. James Percival – He is a top pro who leaves it all on the pitch. When he talks everyone listens to him. The effort he puts in to every game is off the charts.
5. Lewis Stevenson – He just doesn’t care about his body. He’ll throw himself in to everything without thinking, it’s pretty ridiculous. That’s the kind of physical guy you want on your team.
6. Sam Betty – We call him ‘Mad Dog’ because he does all of the dirty work. Every team needs someone like him. He doesn’t do anything fancy and just sticks to the book. You know exactly what you’re going to get – he’s so reliable.
7. Matt Kvesic – He has an old man’s head on a young man’s body. He’s a really smart player and without doubt destined to be a regular starter.
8. Richie Baxter – A real talisman and a natural captain who should definitely have played for England. He’s an inspirational leader people want to follow into battle. He had immense workrate and great positioning.
9. So quick and always figuring out the opposition so you stay two steps ahead. You think you know what he’s doing and then he’ll just come up with something totally different and everyone is fooled.
10. Nick Evans – With Nick and Danny together you can win anything; any game any competition. He’s such a humble guy and has played with the world’s best players – that kind of experience is so good for morale.
11. Semesa Rokoduguni – He breaks tackles for fun and is always looking to make something happen. When your team is struggling to come up with anything he’s a guy that can provide a spark. Definitely one for the future.
12. Ravai Fatiaki – I’ve seen people get a good run up to hit him and he can just stand there and take it; he is so dominant. We really rely on him to get us over the gain-line.
13. Alex Grove – He’s a hard hitter and very physical. I would say that he is an absolute warrior and an amazing professional.
14. David Lemi – My hero when I was starting up. He always backs himself and it would be an honour to have him in my team.
15. Errie Claassens – The best 15 I’ve played with or against. He’s is always looking to attack. People know he can step only one way but they still fall for it every time. I think that shows what a skilful player he is.
