ON THE BLINDSIDE

Wales wing Johnny McNicholl has left the Scarlets with immediate effect to take up a playing opportunity in New Zealand.
McNicholl, 33, won 10 caps for Wales and also 130 appearances for the Scarlets over eight seasons, scoring 57 tries.
Scarlets have signed Cheetahs hooker Marnus van der Merwe ahead of next season.
The 27-year-old impressed this season and has been included in Rassie Erasmus’ 43-man South Africa squad for a two-day camp in March.
