Saracens are set to roll the dice and gamble on Alex Lozowski playing fly-half next season to replace Racing 92-bound former England captain Owen Farrell.
Farrell was in Paris last week undergoing a medical to finalise the move which bagged the Premiership champions a healthy six-figure transfer fee and that Racing announced two weeks ago.
Blindside understands that Sarries did consider a move for former Ireland star Paddy Jackson, but that now looks to be dead in the water and unlikely to be revived for fear of a backlash from sponsors and fans.
