Newcastle Falcons have suffered a blow for next season after Argentina winger Mateo Carreras completed a move to Bayonne for the next three seasons.
Bayonne, who had a healthy budget to replace Remy Baget following his departure to Castres, saw off competition from Toulon to complete the signing of Carreras, 23.
