Sale Sharks answered an emergency cry for help from England’s rugby league team preparing for their second Test match with Tonga at Huddersfield’s John Smith’s stadium on Saturday.
Heavy rain in the North-West last week left several pitches they planned to use near the Worsley Park Country Club, where the team are staying waterlogged and unable to use, leaving them scrambling around.
