Former Ireland and Lions star Sean O’Brien is swapping a rugby ball for a round one to turn out for his GAA side, the Fighting Cocks, in the Carlow Junior A football final.
The ex-London Irish back row, now a skills coach with Leinster, is turning out for the Fighting Cocks, who will play Intermediate football next season if they beat St Mullins.
O’Brien has played several games in the Fighting Cocks forward line this season when his coaching duties in Dublin have allowed after quitting the professional game to go into coaching in 2022.
