Southgate links with Borthwick

ON THE BLINDSIDE

Gareth Southgate is forging close links with his rugby counterpart Steve Borthwick after enjoying a close friendship with his predecessor Eddie Jones.
The England football boss dropped in on training last week and had lunch with the players ahead of the RWC warm-up against Wales.
Southgate was a regular visitor to Pennyhill Park under Jones and has spent time with Harlequins. He is the second football manager in camp this summer, following Burnley boss Vincent Kompany.
