Ex-Tiger Burns making his way back to Japan

Former England fly-half Freddie Burns is heading back to Japan next season after a spell playing in Super Rugby for the Highlanders in New Zealand was ended by a freak injury.
Burns, who was 33 in May, was released from his Leicester Tigers contract in January to move to New Zealand, only to suffer a horrific leg break against the Chiefs in March.
He spent a season with Toyota Shokki in 2020 after leaving Bath and landed the 79th-minute drop-goal against Saracens at Twickenham to win Steve Borthwick’s Tigers the 2022 Premiership crown.
