Sale Sharks are set to return to familiar ground as Alex Sanderson steps up his recruitment plans for next season after agreeing to a deal to land Stormers utility forward Ernst van Rhyn.
The Sharks have been prolific recruiters in South Africa in the past, but JP du Preez, Faf de Klerk, Rohan Janse van Rensburg and Lood de Jager have all departed under Sanderson.
Van Rhyn, 25, who hails from Bellville in Cape Province, is a former South African Schools and U20 international who has put pen to paper on a deal to move to the North-West.
