Former Wasps lock Tim Cardall is heading back to the Premiership next season after his contract with Super Rugby outfit Melbourne Rebels runs out.
Cardall, below, who made 55 appearances for Wasps before they were liquidated earlier this season, is close to securing a contract with Newcastle Falcons for next season.
The Rebels moved for Cardall, 26, after Wallaby international Matt Philip suffered a knee ligament injury that is expected to keep him out of a large part of the Super Rugby campaign.
