Ben Coen has enjoyed an incredible season that saw him go from a bench warmer in BUCS Super Rugby to England U20s’ number one fly-half in their World Championship winning campaign.
The 19-year-old remains an unattached academy player despite profiting from Exeter University’s dual partnership with Exeter Chiefs.
His performances at BUCS level attracted the attention of England U20s head coach Mark Mapletoft, who turned to the Exeter-born 10’s services when he endured an injury crisis ahead of the showpiece tournament this summer.
