Sorry end to Bradley’s voyage

BRADLEY Roberts surfacing at the Principality Stadium three years ago renewed his family's ancestral link to Wales thanks to his maternal grandmother's birth in Llandysul. It entitled him to find a Welsh cap at the end of a circuitous route from his native Durban via Belfast.

Protecting his new status meant Roberts leaving Ulster for a Welsh region, in his case the Dragons, where his career has been brought to a shuddering end by a back injury at 29 after five Test appearances, all off the bench. One of nine hookers chosen by Wales in the last two seasons, his final act was to score a try against France last year.
