Penaud proves the ultimate in French flair

Peter Jackson adds up the points scored last season across all games and finds the French with much to celebrate

Damian Penaud and Thomas Ramos played their first match of the season 46 weeks ago on August 12, for France against Scotland at Saint Etienne. They finished it on Friday night before 66,760 in Marseilles, fittingly so for a pair of untouchables.
One turned the gruelling steeplechase to finish as Europe’s supreme try scorer into a procession lasting 11 months, the other did exactly the same for club and country in reaffirming his status as a goalkicker par excellence.
