Journalism honour for David Emery

David Emery, founder of Greenways Publishing which includes The Rugby Paper, was honoured by the Sports Journalists’ Association last week when he was posthumously awarded the Doug Gardner Award at the British Sports Awards. The award honours an SJA member who has made an outstanding contribution to sports journalism.
Mr E, as he was affectionately known, passed away in June and, on Thursday, SJA members rose to their feet to celebrate his contribution to sports journalism over 50 years. He joins a list of illustrious names to win the award, including Jeff Stelling and Sir Michael Parkinson....
