Phil Bennett (Felinfoel, Llanelli, Wales, Barbarians, British and Irish Lions): Died June 12, aged 73. Iconic Welsh fly-half whose lacerating steps, swerves and vivid acceleration – he started his representative career on the wing – epitomised the great Welsh team of the 1970s and indeed the Lions side that conquered South Africa in 1972.
