BRIEFLY after World War 2, the club combined with Old Whitfigitians but as numbers boomed it regained its individual identity and enjoyed some very decent years in the 1950s and 1960 with a quasi first class fixture list and notable wins over Wasps,
London Welsh and London Irish. It even produced another England international capped while at the club, Scotland’s Ian Coutts who won rugby and cricket Blues while at Lincoln College Cambridge and was capped by the Scots in 1951 and 1952.
With that close connection with the schools Old Alleynians continued to be a force in Old Boys...
