Having endured a difficult past year nursing an ACL injury, Scotland age grade fullback Nathan Sweeney is ready to unleash his potential in this August’s FOSROC Super6 competition.
The Edinburgh Academy back three player signed a dual partnership with Melrose RFC and Southern Knights when the Super6 was formed in 2019.
Sweeney, 20, said: “I played a handful of times with the Southern Knights under Rob Christie. As a young lad playing men’s rugby for the first time, it was challenging especially with the size difference, but I loved it as I learnt a lot.”
