ALEX Sanderson is a straight shooter so it was striking to hear his plea to ‘let sleeping dogs lie’ with regards to ongoing investigations into alleged historic salary cap transgressions at Tigers. The current Leicester outfit should not suffer if any historic wrongdoing is uncovered.
After the heartache he endured with Saracens I mused whether Alex was being incredibly magnanimous or a tad disingenuous, with the message being that Saracens should probably have been treated in the same generous way. Surely a transgression is a transgression...
