Simon McIntyre’s on his way back to the Sharks

have agreed a deal that will see prop Simon McIntyre, 30, return to the club he left a decade ago.

Wasps announced last week that the prop who played over 180 games for them would be leaving.

Sharks boss Alex Sanderson has made adding strength to his front row next season a priority and has already landed Warriors tighthead Nick Schonert on a three-year deal.

revealed earlier in the year that the Sharks have bought Schonert out of his remaining Warriors deal despite Alan Solomons’ insistence that he was staying.

And they have now followed it up with a move for Manchesterborn McIntyre, who started his career in the Sharks academy in 2009.

McIntyre, a hugely popular figure with Wasps fans, is the nephew of former and Leeds United striker Brian Deane.
