FINLAY Calder, Lions captain for the series victory in Australia in 1989, has backed England’s Sam Underhill to win the battle to wear the highly contested No.7 shirt in the first Test this summer.
This coming Thursday Lions head coach Warren Gatland will name his 36- man squad to tour South Africa in July and August.
And since the end of the Six Nations, pundits have been naming their XVs to take the field on July 24 in Johannesburg for the first Test.
