Cardiff Blues in talks over Dai Young extension

CARDIFF BLUES have offered Dai Young a two-year contract to turn his interim appointment as director of rugby into a fulltime arrangement from next season.
The Blues prodigal son, 53, returned to the Welsh capital in January after spending more than nine years at Wasps.
The former Wales and Lions tighthead has opened talks with the region about replacing John Mulvihill, but they haven’t reached a final agreement over the terms.
Blindside understands that Young, who had an eight-year stint at the club before joining Wasps, wants a four-year deal, twice as long as the one put on the table.
