WASPS have entered the race to land former England U20 scrum-half Stu Townsend from Premiership and European double winners Exeter Chiefs.
The 25-year-old from Torbay joined the Chiefs nearly nine years and had spells on loan with Taunton and Cornish Pirates before understudying Dave Lewis and Will Chudley.
Townsend started the 2017 Premiership final win over Wasps and has made more than 60 first-team appearances for the Sandy Park outfit.
