THIS column is no friend of Pablo Matera and his fellow Pumas, the lock Guido Petti and the hooker Santiago Socino.
Their social media sins found them out a few weeks before Christmas and for all their apologising, the stink of racist sewage still clings to them.
It is not a friend of the Argentine Rugby Union either. The movers and shakers decreed, in the most tin-eared of ways, that the immediate suspensions imposed on their charges were “unnecessary” and lifted them accordingly.
