Gloucester pulled off quite a coup over the summer when they managed to lure impressive second row forward Cam Jordan from Leicester, but it also underlined the warm feelings many young players still have for former England age group coach Peter Walton.
Walton was mercilessly ejected from the RFU two years ago and, after a brief stint with Bristol, joined Gloucester as their new head of academy last year. Jordan had looked destined for big things at Leicester but linking up with an old friend proved too hard to resist.
