All-rounder: Walford

MICKY Walford - who was a hand on the tiller for Sherborne rugby for the bigger part of 40 years - might only be a vaguely familiar name to the modern generation but his achievements would make him a household name these days.
The extravagantly gifted Walford won three Blues in one academic year at Oxford (1934-35) - rugby, cricket and hockey - before concentrating on his teaching career.
