Blues aim to buck the trend of losing top talent

GRUFF Rees insists the future is bright for Cardiff Blues with the level of talent coming through the region’s academy as good as it has ever been.
Much has been made of the four Welsh regions being unable to hold on to some of their best up and coming talent.
That was magnified from the Blues’ perspective when Louis Rees-Zammit and Ioan Lloyd were selected for Wales’ autumn squad.
Both were part of the capital region’s pathway before heading for Gloucester and Bristol respectively after receiving attractive schooling offers.
