Jim made All Blacks masters of total rugby

ALMOST 60 years ago a chain-smoking footballer from the east end of Glasgow joined the exodus from the Clyde to the far side of the world. Jim Blair landing in New Zealand in 1962 hardly pointed to the All Blacks becoming all the harder to beat for his arrival.
Blair wasted no time going to work on perfecting a new concept of fitness, one which he applied to a variety of sports including cricket, hockey, yachting and, most strikingly, rugby.
