I COULDN’T believe my eyes last week when I read that between them the two Welsh football clubs, Swansea and Cardiff City, had spent £8.5m on agents’ fees in the past year. Wow! I know rugby doesn’t operate in the same way because there are no transfer fees, but agents often get a bad rep in the industry. I had some very good agents and some who weren’t so good during my career. But I was better off with one rather than without.
