CHRISTIAN Day – a replacement for Sale in the 2006 Premiership final – is shaping up very well in this year’s Masterchef on BBC 1.
The huge lock, who retired at the end of the 2017-18 season, is showing a delicate touch, nuanced palate and sensational presentation skills.
He stormed through the first round as probably the outstanding performer but had to dig deep in this week’s quarter-final when the tricky brief was to produce a vegan dish, by no means his speciality.
