At 22, Thibaud Flament would not normally fall into young gun territory. However, the story behind his rise into first team contention at Wasps is so improbable that it deserves an airing.
Born in Paris but raised in Brussels, Flament began his rugby career at the ASUB Waterloo club on the outskirts of the city where he played fly-half from the age of eight until 18, when he upped sticks and headed to Loughborough University to pursue a degree in international business.
