THE booze ban in one section of the Principality Stadium is here to stay after a successful two-year trial period, the Welsh Rugby Union has confirmed.
Located behind the posts in the north stand, the alcohol- free zone will become a permanent fixture at all future Wales rugby internationals.
The decision to keep the 4,200-seater area dry was reached after more than a dozen matches over two years, a public straw poll of hundreds of thousands of fans, active surveying at matches, and around 40,000 ticket purchases specifically for the alcoholfree zone.
