SAM WOLSTENHOLME WASPS SCRUM-HALF
Twenty-year-old Sam Wolstenholme has packed a lot of life experience into his tender years.
As an outstanding young batsman at Oakham School, Sheffield-born Wolstenholme signed an academy contract with Leicestershire County Cricket Club. However, the lure of rugby proved too great and after joining Yorkshire Carnegie instead, the busy No.9 spent the first half of the 2017/18 season on loan at Hull Ionians before spending seven months in Australia playing Shute Shield rugby for Sydney-based Manly Marlins whilst earning a crust as a labourer.
