Lions tour in ‘74
RIGHT up until my early 20s, when I was playing professionally for Middlesbrough, I seemed to be heading in the same direction as my younger brother, fast bowler Chris, who played 46 Tests and 32 ODIs for England.
Cricket was my main focus at that stage but once I got into the Yorkshire squad, rugby took over, although I continued to play both as you could do in those days.
At virtually every level you play, there are games that stand out but there’s one I recall above all others: a very good win for Yorkshire over Lancashire in what was their centenary season....
