THE WRU have blocked an attempt from Leicester Tigers to take Wales defence coach Shaun Edwards to Welford Road for the rest of the season.
The Tigers are enduring the worst period in their history after winning just six games this season and wanted Edwards to work in a revamped coaching team for the rest of the season.
He would have worked alongside Geordan Murphy as head coach/ defence coach on an eightweek deal with Mike Ford coming in to do the attack.
