NEWCASTLE Falcons are facing an uphill battle to keep hold of their highly-rated back row Callum Chick at the end of the season.
Chick, 22, who joined the Falcons academy when he was 12, captained England U20 and combines playing with being a parttime civil engineering student.
But he is attracting plenty of interest from rival clubs and will be able to speak to them in a couple of week’s time with Dean Richards unable to tie him down to new terms.
Chick can operate on either flanker or at No.8 and is tipped to win full international honours.
