HARTPURY had the onerous task of travelling to Exeter, who had not lost at home all season, and they hammered the league champions 41-15 to book their place in the final.
It was a stunning performance kicked off by Nick Carpenter’s try after a cute Sam Leeming grubber. Max Clementson then wrestled his way over and when Carpenter crashed over again, Exeter were on the ropes.
More tries followed from Alex Forrester, Toby Venner and Aquile Smith and had it not been for late scores from James McRae and Briler for the hosts it would have been a humiliation.
