As a schoolboy cricket all-rounder of some repute, Henry Walker was faced with a tough choice: don the whites and forge a career with Warwickshire or throw in his lot with rugby.
Having started out at Old Silhillians RFC, near Solihull, the former Bromsgrove pupil found himself in the enviable position of being able to pick, having also impressed at U16s level in rugby for the Midlands and England, and being on the academy radar of Gloucester.
