REMARKABLY England’s oldest surviving international Harry Walker, right, is still a regular spectator at Coventry home games at Butts Park.
Harry, who will be 103 on February 3, won the first of his nine England caps at prop in January 1947 when he lined up against Wales at Cardiff Arms Park. Like many players of his era, Harry had missed the best years of his career because of World War Two but he was a still a handful in the front row. Also making his debut that day was a very youthful Micky Steele- Bodger, another England warrior built to last.
