Shields pins his colours to Wasps

HURRICANES captain Brad Shields is understood to have signed for Wasps in a bid to make England’s World Cup squad.
Following a knee injury to flanker Jerome Kaino, the uncapped Hurricanes captain Shields was asked to join the New Zealand tour party and play against France in Lyon last Tuesday, but immediately had the offer withdrawn when he admitted he will be playing in England and unavailable for New Zealand’s 2019 World Cup campaign.
