Northumbria unfazed after Exeter throw down gauntlet

EXETER staged a stunning home comeback to leapfrog Cardiff Met in Topsham.
The Welsh struck first off an accurate set-piece with Luke Northmore touching down and Tom Morgan adding the extras. Exeter speedster Sal M’boge capitalised on good pack work. Ted Landray was on target to level the score.
Neither side was winning the forward battle but Cardiff Met led 17-7 at the break thanks to a converted James Reed try and Morgan penalty.
