MARO LEDESMA has been appointed coach to the Jaguares Super Rugby franchise and is keen to keep on a couple of old stagers. Juan Manuel Leguizamon, 34, has already signed on for another year while Ledesma is asking/pleading with Juan Martin Hernendez, 35, to continue.
“Hernández is the most talented player in the history of Argentine rugby”, said Ledesma this week as encouragement. But is he correct in that? In terms of pure talent, perhaps yes, in terms of applied talent I’m not sure. I would offer three more candidates:
