Sharples grateful as Hartpury step in

HARTPURY RFC will replace Yorkshire Carnegie as the opponents in Charlie Sharples’ testimonial at Kingsholm on Friday. The Scarlets will also be visiting as part of a double-header.
Gloucester’s former England wing Sharples said: “It’s a shame Carnegie can’t fulfil the fixture, but I’m really excited and grateful about Hartpury stepping in. A lot of players have run out for both teams in the past. In a funny way, it’s our closest local derby.”
